Youth Alive Foundation (YAF) is a non-governmental organization that seeks to redefine the contributions of the Nigeria youth in the governance and development process. The core mission of YAF is to create dialogues, interventions and processes that will engage, enlighten and empower youths for a sustainable future, where young people are valued as producers, contributors, creators and leaders.YAF is commencing the STUNT (Strengthening Student Networks for Inclusive Development) Project in tertiary schools across Lagos, Kano and Akwa Ibom states. STUNT project aims to strengthen the leadership skills, knowledge and advocacy capacity of student representative organizations in tertiary institutions for non-violent activism, greater accountability and good governance actions. The project will support innovative and authentic avenues for dynamic, enthusiastic student groups to participate and influence change whilst improving the quality of sustainable life for all in Nigeria. The project will be in three phases comprising of Cycle 1 training, Cycle 2 training and Mentorship/Support. This call for interest is for student group representatives that are interested to be a fellow on the project. The STUNT project is supported by Ford Foundation.
a. Must be a member of an organized student group in the university
b. Must be a student group member that is not in his/her final year of studies.
c. Should be currently in the leadership structure of the student group.
d. Must be willing to commit time for trainings and other required activities.
e. Must be a student in a tertiary school in Lagos State.
f. Marginalised organization like PWD and Female Student Groups will be given higher preferences.
