The Centre for Awareness on Justice and Accountability together with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission on the 26th of June, 2019 visited the Kano NYSC camp made up of over 2,500 youth Corp members that were posted to the state. The visit was to sensitize them on the need to join the fight against corruption.
In Consolidating on YAF commitment to inclusive programing YAF met with PWDs (Persons with Disability) in the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic who are willing to establish an association to aid them speak with a unified voice against discrimination of PWDs.
At the NOA NYSC orientation camp, Nsit-Atai Akwa Ibom State, Youth Alive foundation gave an overview of the YPAC project, The SHE campaign, MadACT movement, SITI and the integrity clubs. Youth Alive Foundation has made tremendous progress on the SHE campaign (Sexual Harassment in Higher Education). Carrying out a baseline survey to understand the prevalence of the #Sex4Grades issue is very important. It is with respect to this that YAF on Friday 7th June 2019 took to training Enumerators for the survey.
As YAF strengthens her engagement on the Y-PAC intervention focused on Sexual and Gender Based Violence SGBV the SHE campaign (Sexual Harassment in Higher Education) has proven to be a vital too in this regard. Today YAF just concluded the training of 30 Enumerators for the SHE survey.
YAF organized a training of 6 enumerators (4 females and 2 males) for the SHE survey on the 29th or May, 2019.
