CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP AND WORKPLAN MEETING WITH Y-PAC PARTNERS

In a bid to strengthen prospects for impact by both partners and government agencies on the Y-PAC project, YAF organized a capacity building and work plan development workshop. Held at Ihiala Hall of Dennis Hotel Wuse 2, Abuja the five day workshop and work plan meeting commenced on Monday 12 March 2019. The workshop Day 1 was aimed at bringing NOA (National Orientation Agency) abreast on the projects and interventions areas. The workshop started by 9:30am with Aaron (Programs Officer at YAF) welcoming the already seated participants and setting a few grand rules with the trainees before handing over to Peace Eno- the Senior programs officer at YAF who took a brief session on the objectives and expectations of the workshops, the participants stated their expectations which aligned with all we had lined up for the day. Dr Udy Okon the Executive Director of Youth Alive Foundation then took the center stage to share the ACORN (Anti-corruption in Nigeria) program overview/YPAC project since inception. She also explained the intervention areas till 2020. A brief remark from Sonia Warner (Senior Responsible Officer for the ACCORN project), she discussed the global effect of corruption and the relevance of the Project. The trainees returned from a tea break to brief remark from Chairman of NOA before settling into a very detailed session on Anti-Corruption in Nigeria, the context of corruption, the manifestation of corruption and different corruption indicators, Mr Chris continued his session after the lunch break, He delved fully into Anti-Corruption Advocacy Strategies before wrapping up for the day. YAF is committed in creating an enabling society that fosters the growth of youths through programmings that ensures impact on behavioral change for countrywide development. The Y-PAC project is one of such visions

Wisdom Hanson is the Digital Media Coordinator at Youth Alive Foundation. As a passion driven individual, he is experienced in Strategic program communications using digital tools and has worked in a number of projects ranging from Agriculture, Education and Technology.
